Five women entrepreneurs from Coquimbo take their products to Amazon USA and Mercado Libre
  • Through the project “Capacity building for women-led companies with export potential,” funded by Corfo Coquimbo, operated by Codesser Coquimbo and managed by the cross-border e-commerce startup LAP Global, the goal is to empower women entrepreneurs and position their products in global markets.

A historic milestone for the Coquimbo region: five local women entrepreneurs have succeeded in taking the essence of their products and the traditions of their land to international markets. This was made possible by the project “Capacity building for women-led companies with export potential,” an initiative funded by Corfo Coquimbo (the regional office of Chile's economic development agency), operated by Codesser Coquimbo (a business development organization) and managed by LAP Global, which has enabled them to sell their products on e-commerce giants such as Amazon USA and Mercado Libre.

The project seeks not only to help these entrepreneurs expand through e-commerce platforms that connect them with international consumers who value the quality, creativity and authenticity of local products, but also to showcase the region's cultural wealth and traditions.

The project's success rests on the synergy between the public and private sectors, where the key has been preparing these businesswomen so that their products stand out not only in Coquimbo but also in other parts of the world. This collaboration, combined with innovation and empowerment, can transform local economies and enable them to compete in international markets.
